Tarzana, California was founded in 1922 and renamed
after the unforgettable character, "Tarzan of the Apes" in 1927. Tarzana
a tribute to his even MORE unforgettable creator -Edgar Rice Burroughs!
After re-locating to Southern California in his early twenties, he began
what he thought was a hobby. He began writing stories.... Twenty
years later, the impact of his literary genius is only finally being
discovered by many, who searching for the Real Tarzan, have
discovered the "secret writings" of Edgar Rice Burroughs. The Tarzana
Chamber of Commerce is proud to represent the city that this extraordinary
author called home. His art portrays the feelings of adventure and fun that
make the Tarzana community so wonderful. |
