Frisco, TX  is located in Collin County near Lake Dallas, on Hwy 289 at the northern edge of the Dallas, Texas metro area.

Frisco is one of the fastest growing cities in North Texas. Convenience, climate and accessibility to downtown Dallas are only a few of the characteristics that make Frisco such a desirable location. The intersection of Preston Road and State Highway 121, along with the Dallas North Tollway and SH121 act as southern gateways to the city. Frisco is home to corporate headquarters for The Dallas Stars, Fujitsu Transaction Solutions, GE Capital, EADS Telecom, Thousand Trails, and regional offices for Levi Strauss and Budweiser. Both Dallas/Fort Worth and Love Field Airports are within a 45-minute drive. Arts, entertainment and recreation abound in Frisco, including Junior League Championship hockey, Minor League baseball, Major League soccer, and National Championship cyclist racing. Plus, with more than 4 million square feet of retail space and the future construction of a 310,000 square foot IKEA store, Frisco is fast becoming the major shopping destination of North Texas.

When the post office was established in 1902, Frisco was a retail and shipping point for farmers, with a number of cotton gins and grain elevators and a Farmers Co-operative Gin Association. In 1914 the population was estimated at 1,000. Today Frisco's population exceeds 70,000.
